2021 has been an eventful year
Expansion of capacity
Let’s begin with one of the best news this year – which has been of great impact for Cre8tek:
This year we have expanded our production in China by 4.000 m2, which means that we now have 11.000 m2. This further means that we have been able to expand our workforce. Today, Cre8tek has 220 employees, which work hard every day to develop and produce electronic products for our customers. As we have always worked in a way that has required a minimum of travel activity for both our employees and our customers, the Covid-19 travel restrictions haven’t had any significant effect on our efficiency in terms of delivering either product development or production in accordance with our customers’ wishes. Based on this, we have also initiated cooperation with several new customers throughout the year, which we are very pleased about.
The EOT fair 2021
In late summer Cre8tek participated in the EOT fair at ‘MCH Messecenter’. We had some exciting days filled with knowledge and professional back-and-forth. It was the perfect occasion for discussing exciting EMS projects with several of our customers. Additionally, it was great that the electronics industry was able to get together again following a time filled with challenges caused by Covid-19.
An honorable visit
For Easter we got a special visit at our factory in Shenzhen, China. We got an opportunity to welcome the Danish ambassador of China, Thomas Østrup Møller as well as the Danish consul general of Guangzhou, Anja Villefrance. We gave them a tour at our factory, and they showcased a great interest in our good work environment and our Danish/Chinese corporate culture.
Component Shortage
2021 has been a year where many industries have struggled to get materials. Some of the reasoning for this can be traced back to the big waves of Covid-19. Especially the electronics industry has been struggling with a shortage of components, which has led to high prices and long delivery time.
Cre8tek has together with our customers been good at accommodating these challenges through our purchasing team based in China. We have been able to do this through excellent framework agreements and timely purchasing of our components. Therefore, we have been able to cover – as well as fulfill – our customers’ needs.
Zliide is worth highlighting
We appreciate all of our customers and all of our projects. This year we have decided to highlight Zliide, which is the company behind the innovative security tags of tomorrow. In addition to the safety of the security tag, the tag has made it possible to engage in online shopping directly from the physical clothing store.
At Cre8tek we have been helping Zliide with the redesign of their security tags by transforming them into a more robust and reliable product suitable for mass production. We have been managing all of Zliide´s supply chain regarding the product, provided all of the components, and established a complete production set-up at our factory in Shenzhen.
Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) is on the 1st of February 2022.
Our development- and production department in China will be closed for Chinese New Year holidays from January 27 to February 10, 2022.
